Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup rice flour


  • 1/2 cup palak or spinach puree


  • 1 medium onion finely chopped


  • 2 green chillies finely chopped


  • 1 tbsp jeera or cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tbsp salt or to taste


  • 2-3 tbsp hot water

Directions

  • In bowl take all ingredients except water and mix well
  • If the dough is too dry add water as required
  • The dough should be smooth and of pat-able consistency
  • On a parchment paper or banana leaf take a fist full of dough and pat it into a thin circle
  • Do not make it too thin else the rotti will be too crispy like papad
  • Heat a tava and spread oil or ghee
  • Transfer this rotti on to the tava and remove the parchment paper slowly.
  • Roast it to a nice brown colour on both sides on a low flame
  • Hot palak akki rotti is ready to be eaten with butter or any side dish
